Mr. Colin Crump
Welcome to Aztec Arenas
Colin Crump formed Aztec Arenas in the early 1990’s having gained a wealth
of experience from his agricultural and civil engineering background. This
started as a young person operating and maintaining all types of machinery
and progressed to the management of a fleet of earth moving and quarrying
equipment. He has been involved in the construction of numerous lakes,
drainage systems, sports pitches, roads, gallops and both indoor and outdoor
arenas.
He is one of the few people in the U.K. who have personally worked with and
laid all the surfaces currently available on the market, from recycled wood
products right through to the top synthetic surfaces, currently offered by
the four main manufacturing companies. Colin and his team of highly trained
and competent staff have been involved with the laying of surfaces, at some
of the country’s main equestrian events, show centres, training yards,
private yards and individual homes.
Now after nearly 25 years in this field it is the personal touch he feels is
the key to the ongoing success of Aztec Arenas. He is personally involved
from the initial enquiry, through the construction stage to the completion
of all works. It is for this reason that he concentrates on an area
approximately 80 mile radius from his Oxfordshire base, as opposed to a
nationwide organisation, where sometimes the attention to detail is often
lost particularly when sub- contractors become involved.
It is with this experience he is able to provide a personal and
competitively priced complete service. Starting with an initial site survey,
and advice on siting of the intended arena, assistance with planning
applications, comprehensive construction details and choice of surface to
suit your requirements. Finishing with a quality guaranteed arena and
satisfied client.
